“Break the Huddle”

Yes, I know your comfortable. You’ve finally made it on to the winning team and you are in the perfect huddle. You feel supported and protected. You are surrounded by your team mates and everyone has their place. All the plays are etched in your mind. In fact you’ve practiced a million times so your confidence is high… but one thing is for sure, you cannot win until you break that huddle. Haha, it may seem as if I’m talking about football but i’m not. I’m talking about your faith.
Great faith without action is dead. In fact, our faith is made perfect by our actions…the two work together; this is how we make progress and achieve the things we want.
So break the huddle, get into formation and run the play…
Now, hold on a minute. Not all plays are meant for you to run. As I said before, everyone has their place on the field. Don’t attempt to run someone else’s play just because you saw it work well for them. Everyone has a role to play in this life. It’s up to you to discover your own. What is your purpose? Have you ever wondered? I’ll discuss purpose more in depth in another post. Now once you discover your purpose, seek God’s wisdom. In Proverbs 16:9 it says, “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” God will surely direct you onto the right path but it is up to you to walk in it. It would be foolish to ask God to order your steps if you don’t move your feet.
Break the huddle. You are on the clock… If you delay the game there is always a penalty.
The penalty for not breaking the huddle and stepping out on faith is missed opportunities, missed blessings and the worst…feelings of stagnation and frustration. Don’t allow fear to “bench you”. Let’s face it, if you don’t run the play there will always be someone else that will.
Run the play because of where it came from. The Author of Love. God has great plans for us. In Jeremiah 29:11 it says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. You may have tried to run your own plays alone or perhaps tried someone else’s and made little to no progress.
Loosing an element of control and having faith in the unseen can be scary thought but I’d like to tell you that if you run this play of life with God, He will block for you on the field. It gets better… God has only wins and no losses. He never fails! So be encouraged, because you’ve got best player on your team!
Go ahead…break the huddle, stay in formation, run the play…now stay behind your blocker and follow him.
With Love,
Faith ‘Biela
